Fear...

Romans 12:2: "Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is--his good, pleasing and perfect will."

You got heart, somethin a lot of folks don't have, you've been thru more than a lot of people can even think about, and you made it. THAT SPEAKS VOLUMES, about you as a person and god's purpose for you.

I also agree with your definition of feAr, that it is a mental disease, because fear to me IS ALLOWING SOMETHING TO CONTROL YOU TO A POINT THAT IT RESTRICTS YOUR ACTIONS, THOUGHTS, EMOTIONS, etc.

So fear, doesn't always have to be 'scary', if that makes any sense and I'll explain why. The bible says we should fear no man, and only fear god. If fear is allowing something to control you, then in my opinion the bible is saying...let NO (hu)MAN control you, only GOd. When we allow God to control ouur thoughts actions and emotions...it often does not result in something scary...but instead in having your life under control.

I myself believe that I fear love, or at least letting my gaurd down. The last person that I loved, hurt me and I can honestly say that til this day I STILL FEAR HOW WHAT HE DID TO MY EMOTIONS AND SELF-WORTH (by just blantantly showing that he didn't care...and it didn't matter to him when we weren't friends anymore) WILL EFFECT MY FUTURE RELATIONSHIPS/FRIENDSHIPS. I go into situations thinking 'Maybe if I give my all to someone who doesn't quite think I'm worthy of it, will prove to them that I AM WORTHY.' Or if I'm in a situation where I'm sure the person cares about me, I say 'I'll never be able to give my all to this person, because he still has a part of my heart, and if I really love someone I should give them my whole heart.' Which means I give up on that person who is there for me, and already has an understanding of my heart.

Someone told me that the best way to change your LIFE is to change your THOUGHTS. When you allow that fool into your thoughts, you are also adding him into your life. He becomes a part of the way you react to things and the way you do things. YOU DON'T WANT THAT...YOU DON'T EVEN LIKE HIM. Not liking him + not liking him in your thoughts = NOT LIKING YOUR THOUGHTS. What makes you strong is your ability to REBUKE the thoughts you have of him and replace them with thoughts of God. Believe me, that don't mean we gotta be perfect...that just means we begin to allow the positive being that has loved us since before we were even in the womb, to replace the negative presence that never loved us to begin with.

It's not something that will happen over night, Just like walls aren't built in a day, they aren't torn down that quick either. But we have to recognize the difference between when GOD is knocking down walls and when Satan is creating strongholds.

Fear is something that I'm just beginning to break down from; because DJ told me that until I love myself, I can't love anyone right. It came from Galatians 5:14. If you continue to allow the fear of someone who didn't love you in your thoughts, you lose that love for yourself, and disable yourself from loving anyone else. Im going wayyyy off of fear. so I'll bring it back.

But I Look at it this way, whatever I FEAR, is what I ALLOW to control me. AND I DON'T WANT ANYTHING TO CONTROL ME EXCEPT GOD (take control of me/my life is yours to keep forever). So now to keep those 'fear factors' from controlling me, I ask myself ' DO I WANT THIS TO CONTROL MY LIFE? DOES GOD WANT THIS TO CONTROL ME? IS THIS WORTH MY LIFE? IS THIS DISABLING CONTROL ONE THAT IS GOOD OR BAD? (like disabling cursing vs. disabling loving)

Battlefield of The Mind Quotes

Your attitude determines your actions.

Romans 12:2: "Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is--his good, pleasing and perfect will."

"abide" in God's word--that means keep absorbing it and applying it in your life.

God doesn't want you to sing Him a jingle. He wants words to spring from the depths of your heart. He wants you to keep it real. And He wants prayers inspired by your close relationship with Him.

The Bible teaches that a man should love his family in the same way that that Christ loves His people, the Church.

He showed me that just as my physical life depends on nourishment, excercise, and proper medical care, my spiritual life thrives on spending regular, high-quality time with my loving Creator.

I wouldn't ignore the pangs of physical hunger, because I understand that eating isn't just a "routine" that I feel like I should

Evangelism con't.

Psalm 107:31-32
31 Let them give thanks to the LORD for his unfailing love
and his wonderful deeds for men.

32 Let them exalt him in the assembly of the people
and praise him in the council of the elders.

Let people understand that God has blessed them and others. There realization will lead the into his righteousness.

Psalm 107:42-43
42 The upright see and rejoice,
but all the wicked shut their mouths.

43 Whoever is wise, let him heed these things
and consider the great love of the LORD.

Evil people won't care, be concious. Those who are good and wise will take heed to God's work in everyone's lives and think about the love of the Lord.

Ecclesiates 11:4-6
4 Whoever watches the wind will not plant;
whoever looks at the clouds will not reap.

5 As you do not know the path of the wind,
or how the body is formed [a] in a mother's womb,
so you cannot understand the work of God,
the Maker of all things.

6 Sow your seed in the morning,
and at evening let not your hands be idle,
for you do not know which will succeed,
whether this or that,
or whether both will do equally well.

You are not God. You are doing his work, when you evangelize. Remember that the person must answer to God. Don't stop doing what the Holy Spirit tells you to do, because God is using you even if you don't know how.

Isaiah 65:8
8 This is what the LORD says:
"As when juice is still found in a cluster of grapes
and men say, 'Don't destroy it,
there is yet some good in it,'
so will I do in behalf of my servants;
I will not destroy them all.

Regardless of what they've done if God still sees the good in a person, he will be with them. If he loves them you should to.

1 Peter 3:15-22
15But in your hearts set apart Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect, 16keeping a clear conscience, so that those who speak maliciously against your good behavior in Christ may be ashamed of their slander. 17It is better, if it is God's will, to suffer for doing good than for doing evil. 18For Christ died for sins once for all, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God. He was put to death in the body but made alive by the Spirit

Share your story, share the good news. Sharing your change (which is the art of testimony) could very well be the key to helping save someone from eternal damnation.

Thoughts and Scriptures; Evangelism && Sharing Faith

2 Chronicles 30:17-2717 Since many in the crowd had not consecrated themselves, the Levites had to kill the Passover lambs for all those who were not ceremonially clean and could not consecrate their lambs to the LORD. 18 Although most of the many people who came from Ephraim, Manasseh, Issachar and Zebulun had not purified themselves, yet they ate the Passover, contrary to what was written. But Hezekiah prayed for them, saying, "May the LORD, who is good, pardon everyone 19 who sets his heart on seeking God—the LORD, the God of his fathers—even if he is not clean according to the rules of the sanctuary." 20 And the LORD heard Hezekiah and healed the people.

21 The Israelites who were present in Jerusalem celebrated the Feast of Unleavened Bread for seven days with great rejoicing, while the Levites and priests sang to the LORD every day, accompanied by the LORD's instruments of praise. [a]

22 Hezekiah spoke encouragingly to all the Levites, who showed good understanding of the service of the LORD. For the seven days they ate their assigned portion and offered fellowship offerings [b] and praised the LORD, the God of their fathers.

23 The whole assembly then agreed to celebrate the festival seven more days; so for another seven days they celebrated joyfully. 24 Hezekiah king of Judah provided a thousand bulls and seven thousand sheep and goats for the assembly, and the officials provided them with a thousand bulls and ten thousand sheep and goats. A great number of priests consecrated themselves. 25 The entire assembly of Judah rejoiced, along with the priests and Levites and all who had assembled from Israel, including the aliens who had come from Israel and those who lived in Judah. 26 There was great joy in Jerusalem, for since the days of Solomon son of David king of Israel there had been nothing like this in Jerusalem. 27 The priests and the Levites stood to bless the people, and God heard them, for their prayer reached heaven, his holy dwelling place

Pray for those you want to help, but still continue in your walk. God will see their attempts and hear your prayers; causing you all to be blessed abundantly. Be encouraged.

Successful?

"Do not envy evil people or try to be friends with them. Their minds
are always planning violence and they always talk about trouble." Proverbs
24:1-2

What is it that you want from life? Is there a life that you desire to live? Are there any luxuries that you wish to have? Any people that you admire?

...Do any of those embody Christ?

Today I define success, as a Christian. Success should not be having thousand ,of dollars to spend freely, nor should it be having the most attractive boyfriend/girlfriend. We have to remember that the sole REASON we are on this Earth is to serve God, and fulfill his purpose for us. So I ask when we place revere in men who make a living off of misogynist lyrics, or women who dance half-clothed on television living by 'sex sells' instead of 'Jesus saves', are we serving God's will. Are we fulfilling his purpose? Or are we working for the enemy?

The scripture above says not to envy those who delve in these evil behaviors. It is not wise, for their minds are no more stable than leaf on a tree. As the wind blows, their position changes.

But the bible quotes "Their minds are always planning violence." Not only are they dangerous, but their mere THOUGHTS are violent. Their thoughts are harmful. A person who is full of harmful thoughts, is capable of dangerous actions. "They always talk about trouble." What do you learn from someone who only speaks trouble? Drama? Sorrow? Pain? Nothing positive comes of it, so why do you desire to be their friend, let alone be like them.

Remember the next time you think about success, God has an extraordinary success plan for your life, and the only way to achieve that success is through his word, and his son Jesus Christ. Don't let an evil person interfere with that plan.
